Fanless MIL-IP67 CEC-14 offers performance & flexibility
This compact embedded computer (CEC) from our Swiss partner MPL has been thoroughly tested & MIL certified. Equipped with the required XMC/PMC and miniPCIe expansion options, the MPL MIL-IP67 CEC-14 offers a fast-time-to-market solution for the most challenging IT projects. This ultra-small form factor (USFF) rugged embedded computer/controller is based on a low-power, quad-core Intel Atom E3845 (Bay Trail) processor and can be equipped with a 2.5” SSD/HDD for high capacity storage, data logging, and information assurance necessities. The MPL MIL-IP67 Intel Atom E3845 compact embedded system is a fully functional Intel®-based computer, featured in a compact, lightweight, conductively cooled MIL-IP67 housing. The extremely reliable and modular design of the MPL MIL-67 CEC-14 provides the industrial PC with the necessary mechanical robustness.
The multi-core rugged Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) processor is an ideal x86 mission computing solution for size, weight, power and cost (SWaP-C). This makes the industrial PC an ideal solution for sensitive vehicle, airborne, industrial, manned and unmanned vehicle and sensor applications. The hardware of this industrial PC is also optimized for high performance energy efficient processing. The unit has a quad-core 64-bit Intel Architecture (IA) CPU with integrated Intel HD Graphics and complementary standard vetronics I/O interfaces (including USB, Ethernet, Serial, Video and Audio).
MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429/708/717 and discrete I/O expansion possibilities
Due to the fact that the embedded industrial PC is equipped with XMC / PMC and miniPCIe expansion possibilities, this industrial embedded system can be configured for a wide array of military applications and avionics applications. This MIL-IP67 Intel Atom E3845 based system can be equipped with MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429/708/717, discrete I/O and base RS-232/422/485. All possible configurations are developed by our Engineers in collaboration with our Swiss partner MPL. Each configuration meets the MIL-STD-810, DO-160, MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-461 standards. The combination of small size, low-power multi-core processing, and flexible I / O, the MPL MIL-IP67 CEC-14 provides its users with new options for on-board vetronics, avionics, C4ISR, and autonomous vehicle control applications.
The MPL MIL-IP67 CEC-14 operating as an IVHM system
Thanks to a wide range of interfaces, this industrial PC from MPL supports various sensor inputs and is able to perform intelligent sensor monitoring of military vehicles on critical missions. As an Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) system, this industrial compact embedded computer collects and transmits data about the condition of the vehicle, its performance and its current location. This data provides system engineers with maintenance signals at an early stage, which means that the costs of manpower and maintenance can be considerably reduced. By deploying the MPL-IP67 CEC-14 as an IVHM system, you can use this platform to perform intelligent diagnostics 24/7 in the air, at sea and on land during critical missions.MPL IP-67 CEC-14 mission control computer
The design of the MPL compact embedded computer is based on an open COTS architecture, which offers users flexibility in their I/O configuration of choice. The industrial embedded PCB was developed and produced by MPL in Switzerland. The baseboard consists of various standard I/O, including GbE ports, RS232, USB, Intel HD Audio and Dual Display capabilities. The system can be further expanded via XMC/PMC and miniPCIe to meet specific application requirements. This makes it possible to develop a configuration with I/O combinations such as MIL-STD-1553B and Arinc429. This compact industrial embedded system is designed for deployment in the most rugged environments. Developed on the basis of the SWaP-C principles, the system is utmost suitable for the application in unmanned vehicles, surveillance, HD video surveillance and sensor development.
