Ethernet media converter 2x copper ports RJ45, 1x SFP port

The MPL TX2FX-13 is an Ethernet media converter that translates transmission signals from a twisted pair 10/100 / 1000Base-TX cable to a 100Base-FX or 1000Base-X fiber optic cable. This media converter offers users a single mode solution of 10 km. Any standard Small Form factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver module can be used for the fiber optic port. Our Swiss partner MPL supplies SFP modules with different transmitter and receiver types. Compatibility with different SFPs allows adaptability to different fiber types, distances and wavelengths, providing flexibility for a variety of network architectures and topologies. The MPL TX2FX-13 media converter offers automatic detection and initialization of the SFP module and has diagnostic LEDs that are easy to read. The LEDS provide users with status information regarding the network speed, traffic and the status of the optic port. Because the MPL TX2FX-13 has 2 copper ports and 1 SFP slot, this media converter can also be used as a switch.
